Terms of Use
The short version: Glyph Studio is free to use during the beta. What you make is yours, including for commercial work. Don't use it to break the law or hurt people. It's provided as is.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to glyphstudio.org, app.glyphstudio.org and the Glyph Studio software (together, "Glyph Studio"). Glyph Studio is operated by Chirag Garg, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India ("we", "us"). By using Glyph Studio you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
2. The service
Glyph Studio is a browser-based tool for applying visual styles to images, video, camera input and 3D type. It is currently offered free of charge as a beta. We may add, change or remove features, and we may introduce paid plans. Anything you can already export stays yours regardless of such changes.
3. Your content
- You keep all rights to the images, videos and other material you open in Glyph Studio, and to the outputs you create. We claim no ownership of either.
- Your files are processed on your own device, so we don't receive them. You are responsible for having the rights to use any material you work with.
- You may use your exports for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, including client work, videos, posters, websites and products.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Glyph Studio to:
- create or share content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or sexualises minors;
- harass, defame or impersonate others, or create deceptive media of a real person without their consent;
- interfere with, overload or attack our sites or infrastructure; or
- resell, rebrand or redistribute Glyph Studio itself (as opposed to your outputs) as a competing product.
5. Code exports
When you export a look as code (a Framer or React component or an HTML file), you may use that code in your own projects and your clients' projects, including commercial ones. You may not publish or sell the exported runtime on its own as an effects library, template pack or tool.
6. Our rights
Glyph Studio's software, style designs, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components we use are licensed under their own terms (for example MIT and the SIL Open Font License), which these terms don't restrict.
7. Paid plans
If you buy a paid plan in the future, the price, billing period and what's included will be shown before you pay, and our Refund Policy will apply. Payments will be processed by a payment provider acting as merchant of record, whose checkout terms also apply.
8. Disclaimer
Glyph Studio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or work on every device, or that exports will suit a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of important work.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of Glyph Studio. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you haven't paid us anything.
10. Ending use
You can stop using Glyph Studio at any time. We may suspend access for anyone who breaches these terms or misuses the service.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use Glyph Studio after a change means you accept it. Questions? Email hello@glyphstudio.org.
